Popularly known as Sishebo, Yvette Marguax Ndaba is a 38 year old Couture designer who makes custom made wedding gowns, suits, haute couture (high end fashion) for bespoke events and she also designs for couples. Throughout her career she always tries to ensure that the passion and enthusiasm and her greatest joy is seeing the excitement of her clients after being satisfied. “I enjoy helping my customers come out of their shells, in terms of what clothing they can wear and experiment with and that always fuels my passion and helps mantain my own standards.
Her first collection was showcased at the ZITF in 2015 in collaboration Alliance Francaise and on this show, i introduced Bulawayo to Plus size models, and on this show they where wearing bespoke skirts and bibs. After this show, the demand for plus size fashion was high and organisers started inviting her to attend and showcase her clothes on their shows and her next one was the Fashion Designers Expo in 2016 where she changed the game and had happy plus size models who smiled and danced during the showcase.
2016 was such a great year for the Sishebo designer as she went on to showcase at the John Ablanza Culture and couture show at the National Gallery in Harare.Over the years she has managed to scope awards, get nominated and was able to dress prominent names in the fashion and Modeling world including Samantha Tshuma (Former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe), Tracey-Anne Buckley Agget (Mrs Tourism Zimbabwe & 1st runner up Mrs Universe 2016) and showcased at the John Ablanza Couture and Culture in New York.
Fast forward to 2018, she was invited to showcase at the Durban Fashion Fair as a guest Designer, For me that comes down as her best showcase ever. She designed her own fabric printed Eve-O and made clothes from it. Her showcase was filled with drama (as expected lol). Her collection is easy to identify as she always say, for Sishebo Detail is Everything. I love how she pays attention every detail like her custom beading and button detail, feathers and leather where also Incorporated in the collection. to get in touch with her on her social media pages and order yourself some custom made sishebo.
